‘Jana’ is my interpretation of the Feminine, incorporating both practical and aesthetic perspectives. Historically, femininity has been associated with fertility, motherhood, and societal roles, as well as with beauty, sexuality, and moral expectations. The bust depicts a woman with Egyptian features—elongated neck, high cheekbones, and prominent eye-liner—conveying authority and dignity. The plastic hangers incorporated as adornments suggest practicality and earthly duties, while also serving a functional role as a jewelry, key, or hat holder. This duality embodies both the symbolic and utilitarian aspects of femininity.
