'Njassa'

Little 'Njassa' was born because I got invited by Jyrki Jantunen (Njassa) to an interview in radio Helsinki on 16.11.2021. I wanted to create something special and genuine as a gift. By that time I have already started working with bottles and home-made clay during the long lockdown. I know he didn't drink alcohol, so I used a juice bottle as the body. Its shaped followed his silhouette rather naturally. I made the head out of a light bulb, so when it dried out, I could plug it into my lamp and it glowed. I had hard time finding a picture of him in his notorious Public Enemy bomber jacket on the net, so I didn't have an idea which exact model he was wearing. Apparently, my guess was wrong :) But, nevertheless, he loved the sculpture.
