'Njassa'

Little ‘Njassa’

Created as a gift for Jyrki Jantunen (Njassa) following a radio interview in Helsinki, this sculpture incorporates a juice bottle and a light bulb. The bottle’s form naturally follows the silhouette of the subject, while the illuminated bulb serves as the head, activating the sculpture as a lamp. Though the depiction of his iconic bomber jacket was an approximation, the work captures the essence of the individual and reflects my exploration of personal homage through sculptural form.
